Jua & Mao treat us like family. Been going here for way over a decade. The food is outstanding! We love the basil beef, pad thai, tom yum soup, red curry chicken and the mango sticky rice. Can’t beat the great price, too!! Stephen ChampionTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Another Silicon Valley legend. I lived down the street more than 25 years ago and frequented Thai Basil. Back then you could get a main dish, bowl of rice, and a Thai coffee for a yuppie food coupon ($20). Everything on the menu was amazing, but especially the dishes named "Basil". I live 1000+ miles away now, but I dropped in last night. The restaurant is larger and the menu and setting is more refined now, but I had the medium (hot) Basil Chicken, and it was as good as I remember. I almost cried over it again, but after ten years in Texas I've learned to take the heat. My group shared five different dishes and a few appetizers, and while the Basil dishes are what you need to clear you sinuses, the other (all mild) dishes just reminded us that you really can't go wrong here.Google rating score: 4.0 of 5, based on 670 reviews
